This is "How It Is"

CanadianMums is a community of individuals, majority female, of all ages who are here to learn, to help each other, and to share their knowledge. With that in mind, we ask that all members please follow these simple rules in order to create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable.

So this is How It Is:

01. All information given and received within this forum is to be used at your own risk. By following or using any of this information you give up the right to hold CanadianMums liable for any problems and such that could arise from such.

02. All the forums are categorized by topics. Please post your questions or messages in the appropriate forum. It's very time consuming to have to redirect messages posted in wrong forums from pure ignorance. If a topic is posted in a forum that is not appropriate, the staff have the right to move it to a better suited forum without notification.

03. Answers to many of your questions can usually be found in the board somewhere. Please use the search function, in the top menu section of each page, to find your answers. If you are still having problems, feel free to post your question in the feedback/requests forum.

04. The posting of any copyrighted material on our web site and/or forum is strictly prohibited.

05. There will be no use of racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discriminations on our message boards. This will not be tolerated and can lead to immediate suspension.

06. When posting, please refrain from one-to-two word responses like 'yes', 'no', and 'me too' for example. This is a complete waste of database space and really unnecessary.

07. There will be no posts meant to purposely offend or hurt any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory. This includes flaming or instigating arguments.

08. Spamming is not permitted; please keep all your posts as constructive as possible.

09. Pornography, warez, or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form anywhere on the site or forum.

10. We have the right to request alteration or deletion of any offensive post. If this is not done in a prompt manner, the Staff will delete the material themselves and you will be noted.

11. Posts may be deleted for any reasons the forum administrators deem reasonable.

12. Having the ability to report threads is a luxury. If this feature is abused, it will be removed.

13. Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit, offensive, or copyrighted.

14. Please do not solicit any direct competition on the forum. We work hard to bring the members great stuff, and are aim is to keep the members, not advertise for others.

15. Signatures are permitted and encouraged, however please use acceptable size photos etc in them. Having large sized signatures just makes loading of pages take a ridiculously long time. Failure to comply will result in the removal of your signature.

16. Only one image per signature unless small enough images are being used.

17. If you have a personal website, that is more than fine, but you can not sell products or services through your signature. Multiple links to the same site, unless for a very specific reason, are not permitted in a signature.

18. Avatars must be in good taste. This means no vulgar or violent images, pornography, or profanity. Avatars that are found to be inappropriate will be removed at the discretion of the staff.

19. Linking to any form of illegal sites is not permitted.

20. Members may have only one account on this forum. There is no need to have more than one.

21. Any impersonation of a user from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning.

22. Topics are pruned regularly to reduce page clutter. If you have a question about where your topic went, please PM a Moderator or Administrator before starting a new topic asking where it went, or posting a duplicate of the original topic. We will be happy to provide you with a link to the new location, or a reason why it was locked and/or removed.

IDLE DAYS

Any member who joins and does not post for a period of 30 days will automatically be removed. You need to post at least 1 time in order to be considered "Active".

Any member who is considered "Active" that does not post for a period of 60 days, will be removed unless the Admins have been informed.

In the near future, members will be required to post a minimum number of times per month in order to remain a part of this community. Details will follow with enough time.

Violation of any of these rules can lead to a banning of the user from our Web Site and a deletion of their account. The consequences will be determined by the Staff on a case by case basis. Thank you for joining us here at CanadianMums & please enjoy your stay.

When posting you agree that the administrators and moderators of this forum have the right to modify, delete, edit or close any topic, signature, account, or profile data at any time that they see fit. If you have any questions concerning this, please do not start a new thread, but rather private message an administrator or moderator.
